Did you know that we all have a unique fingerprint. Not even identical twins that are alike in all other ways have the same fingerprints. If you take a close up at your fingertip the surface is made up by ridges, these will help our fingers and hand be able to grab onto things. The fingers leave an impression mark every time we touch something, when the body’s natural oils and sweat on the skin are deposited onto another surface.

Fingerprint analysis has been used to identify suspects and solve crimes for more than 100 years.
